Dinner Church Taster Evening

Dinner Church Taster Evening

Posted on behalf of Northampton Methodist District

New people join new things in new places with other new people, more easily than they'd come along to anything we've been doing for years.  There is nothing better than sharing food to build and nurture relationships. Eating together was a core practice of Jesus and the early church.

Dinner Church is not a social meal for our church members and congregations but a way of offering hospitality where guests can encounter Christ and journey towards Him. Thus a new Christian community of disciples may emerge.

On this evening we will share a 2 course vegetarian meal whilst participating in being church and reflecting on the process. We will learn some principles to take away and apply in our own contexts.

There is a large car park at the church hall which is on the left just AFTER the Whitworth Centre. This is on the A6 and buses running between Matlock and Bakewell stop outside.

This event is being run jointly between the Northampton Methodist District and the Nottingham & Derby Methodist District.
